The future of nanotechnologyThe Future of Nanotechnology, Sept. 18 -19 (Washington, D.C., and Irvine, Calif.)With its seemingly endless possibilities for health care, manufacturing, and electronics, nanotechnology is inspiring major research efforts around the globe. At this conference, the first of two on nanotechnology to be sponsored by the National Academies' Keck Futures Initiative, researchers from different fields will gather to explore questions related to nanoscience and the future of nanomaterials.
The conference will be held simultaneously at two National Academies facilities: the Keck Center, 500 Fifth St., N.W., Washington, D.C.; and the Arnold and Mabel Beckman Center, 100 Academy Drive, Irvine, Calif.; the locations will be linked by video conference.
