The National Academies

Dec. 10-12 Japanese-American Frontiers of Science Meeting in Irvine, Calif.

The annual Japanese-American Frontiers of Science symposium, co-sponsored by the National Academy of Sciences and the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science, provides award-winning young scientists from the United States and Japan with the opportunity to interact and discuss their research. Topics of discussion this year include carbon nanotubes and nanowires, evolution of the universe, Mars, stem cells and genetic reprogramming, and algorithmic approaches to music composition.
