1st International Conference on Cell Therapy for Cardiovascular DiseaseA one day symposium - June 16, 2004The First International Conference on Cell Therapy for Cardiovascular Diseases: A One Day Symposium will consist of a morning and an afternoon session. Presentations will focus on current data in both basic and clinical areas, and will be delivered in a format designed to promote discussion and debate.
During the morning session, local factors that serve to promote or interfere with cell survival will be discussed, followed by a detailed review of cell types under active investigation. This will be followed by a review of cell delivery strategies and methods for evaluating their effects. An open debate over lunch will follow. The afternoon session will consist of a comprehensive review of data from both completed and ongoing clinical trials for both acute and chronic myocardial disease, followed by a question-and-answer session.
The Symposium will bring together the leaders in the field of cardiac myogenesis. It is anticipated that many attendees will have preexisting knowledge of principles, experimental design, and results of completed studies in the field of cell therapy for cardiovascular diseases. A wide cross-section of members of basic and clinical researchers, from academic, industry, and regulatory communities will be in attendance.
