International stem cell symposium to be held at Imperial College LondonAn international symposium exploring the potential of stem cells for repair and regeneration is to be held at Imperial College London's Hammersmith campus on the 27-28 September 2004.
The symposium, to be held in the Wolfson Conference Centre will feature researchers from around the world discussing the latest developments in stem cell research, and new ways to use stem cell technology to treat many illnesses and diseases.
Professor Nagy Habib, from Imperial College London and Hammersmith Hospital, and symposium organiser comments: "Stem cell research is becoming increasingly important. This symposium will feature leading stem cell researchers from the UK and the rest of the world, and will look at the latest developments in the use of stem cells to provide medical therapies."
The symposium will feature researchers from around the world, and will look at all types of stem cell research including foetal, cardiac, blood, liver and embryonic stem cells. The symposium will also look at how stem cells can be used to treat a number of diseases including neurodegenerative disorders and heart disease.
