World's largest medical eye meeting to be held in New Orleans

SAN FRANCISCO--More than 25,000 people are expected to come together in New Orleans for the world's largest medical eye meeting, the Joint Meeting of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the European Society of Ophthalmology, Oct. 24 to 26 and the Academy's Subspecialty Day meetings in refractive surgery, retina and glaucoma Oct. 22 to 23.

Leading medical experts in the field of vision and eye health will present research on topics including the latest techniques in refractive surgery to correct and improve vision, to advances in treating diseases, such as age-related macular degeneration. In addition, more than 500 companies will exhibit new technology, products and services. The meetings will take place at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center in New Orleans.
