The American Academy of Nurse Practitioners to host 19th Annual ConferenceAUSTIN (March 1) -- The American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) will host its 19th annual national conference at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center in New Orleans, LA, June 11 � 16, 2004. Approximately 2,500 nurse practitioners from around the country are expected to attend. The six-day event will feature more than 300 expert faculty presentations and state-of-the-art skills enhancement workshops to update attendees on current, practical, clinically-oriented practice information as well as on legislative, policy, and practice issues. (Expanded pre- and post-day conference workshops are being offered at no additional cost for those who have registered for the 2004 Conference.)
An exhibit hall filled with a variety of pharmaceutical, medical supply and equipment companies, computer and business support companies, recruiters, and publishing houses will showcase the latest in goods and services designed to support the nurse practitioner. The AANP was founded in 1985 and is the largest, full-service national professional organization for nurse practitioners of all specialties. With more than 16,000 individual members and 90 group members, AANP represents the interests of approximately 85,000 nurse practitioners around the country.
