Leading experts in field of gene therapy to meet in MinneapolisAmerican Society of Gene Therapy - June 2-6, 2004The leading experts in the field of gene therapy will gather in Minneapolis, June 2-6, 2004, for the 7th Annual Meeting of the American Society of Gene Therapy (ASGT). New developments on the use of gene therapy for treating infections diseases such as cancer and AIDS, cardiovascular diseases, and cystic fibrosis will be showcased in a variety of educational workshops and symposia.
Program topics will also feature: - Innovative approaches of gene therapy
- Long term follow up of gene therapy clinical trials
- International harmonization of regulatory standards for clinical trials
Gordon Keller, MD, Mount Sinai School of Medicine, and Catherine Verfaillie, MD, University of Minnesota Health Center, will present the Presidential Symposium lecture. In addition, the premier George Stamatoyannopoulos lecture will be given by Harriet Robinson, MD, from the Yerkes Regional Primate Research Center.
Members of the media may register without charge for the ASGT 7th Annual Meeting. Press conferences on the latest research will be conducted throughout the meeting.
