WHAT:The Fuel Cell Technology Institute is a two-day workshop on fuel cell technology that includes an overview of fuel cell types, practical fuel cell systems and the challenges and opportunities associated with the fuel cell market.

The advanced course on distributed generation provides a closer examination of this technology, and the advanced course on hydrogen examines the issues facing the creation of a hydrogen infrastructure.

Speakers include representatives from: Air Products & Chemicals, CTG Energetics, FuelCell Energy, Plug Power, SiemensWestinghouse, Toyota, U.S. Dept. of Defense, U.S. Dept. of Energy and the National Fuel Cell Research Center.

The Institute is hosted by the National Fuel Cell Research Center, the nation's first university-based organization dedicated to advancing fuel cell technologies. The NFCRC, located in The Henry Samueli School of Engineering at UC Irvine, is recognized internationally for its research on advanced energy systems, gas turbine combustion and greenhouse gasses.
