
January 2003 From American Psychological Association Young Scholars Social Science Summit Please Note: This release has been updated as of February 6, 2003.WHAT: Five social scientists from psychology, economics, demography, anthropology and geography will discuss the topic of refugees to demonstrate to high school students how each discipline contributes to solving important human problems. Washington DC high school teachers selected the students based on their interest and abilities in the social sciences. Each student will review articles submitted by the scholars and generate questions for the panel. The afternoon will be devoted to sessions that allow for follow up discussion with the invited scholars. WHO: Charles B. Keely, The Donald G.
