Almost 10% of APsaA's national membership reside and practice in the state of Massachusetts. Three of the organization's 29 affiliates are located in the state: the Boston Psychoanalytic Society and Institute (http://bostonpsa.org/) and the Psychoanalytic Institute of New England, East (http://www.analysis.com/pine/), both in Boston; and the Berkshire Society for Psychoanalysis, in Great Barrington. Founded in 1911, APsaA is a professional organization of psychoanalysts throughout the United States. The Association is composed of Affiliate Societies and Training Institutes in many cities and has approximately 3,500 individual members.
