BACKGROUND: ICEPAG is an instructional and participatory colloquium offering tutorial lectures to examine emerging energy technologies, along with the market and regulatory factors influencing energy demand and supply nationally and globally. Selected colloquium tutorial topics include: a technical look at fuel cells, micro-turbines and renewable energy sources; exploration of current distributed generation (DG) issues including grid connectivity, integration of DG into the built environment and our current central generation infrastructure; and the environmental impacts, regulatory influences and market perception of this new energy paradigm. The colloquium, on February 5th and 6th, features tutorials from world-renowned experts in emerging energy technologies, environmental impacts, market forces and regulation. Intensive half-day workshops are offered on February 4th and 7th. The early registration deadline in January 14, 2002. ICEPAG is organized by the US.
