Upland Oak Ecology Symposium History, current conditions and sustainability Conference Objective: To bring natural resource professionals together to increase our understanding of the history, ecology and status of upland oak forests based upon experimental or empirical findings, with an emphasis upon the Interior Highlands.Target Audience: Natural resource professionals and scientists including foresters, wildlife biologists, ecologists, soil conservationists, land managers and members of related fields and specialties. Subject Areas Speakers will include scientists, regional experts and noted authors in the field of oak ecology. There will be no concurrent sessions during the symposium. The following sessions represent subject areas in the symposium. We are accepting for review and consideration abstracts about research papers, posters, and empirically based presentations in these topic areas: - Session I: Historical Influences
