World Trade Center research to be reviewed at NYC workshop Engineers and social scientists funded by the National Science Foundation (NSF) to conduct research in the wake of September 11 will discuss their progress at a workshop in December at New York University, New York City. The workshop is hosted by NSF and the NSF-funded Institute for Civil Infrastructure Systems.The researchers have collected and begun analyzing data on building structures, infrastructure (transportation, utilities and other physical services), safety and emergency response at the World Trade Center and Pentagon sites. They will present the results of their analyses to date and meet with New York City public officials to explore opportunities for future research.
