NIDA Hosts 2nd National Conference on Drug Abuse Prevention Research: A Progress Update

WHAT: The National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) is convening the 2nd National Conference on Drug Abuse Prevention Research: A Progress Update, which will highlight national trends, effective programs, and the latest findings in drug abuse prevention research among children and adolescents.

WHY: Drug abuse is a serious and chronic public health concern that significantly impacts the drug abuser and society, as a whole. The need to recognize existing and share new advancements in the development of effective interventions for drug abuse prevention is a national public health priority.
