UNC-CH's Graham Center to release results of landmark 20-year study

On Wednesday, Oct. 20, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill faculty will announce results of a landmark study that involved 20 years of following up the development of children who attended day care in the 1970s. The briefing will begin promptly at 11 a.m. in the Frank Porter Graham Child Development Center's third-floor conference room. Reporters are invited to the announcement, which will be national news.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Because official release of the findings will not take place until Thursday, Oct. 21, in Washington, D.C., information from the Chapel Hill event will be embargoed until 10 a.m. on Oct. 21. Reporters will be asked to sign a statement at the door agreeing to honor the embargo. Anyone not agreeing to hold the information for a day will not be admitted.

Parking will be available in spaces reserved for reporters in the Graham Center parking lot located off Smith Level Road just south of the intersection of Smith Level and the U.S.15-501-N.C.54 Bypass in Chapel Hill.
