Mayday plus news conference and demonstration

A car crash ... a severly injured driver on a deserted rural road -- a bleak picture? Automatically, the crashed vehicle transmits data from the scene -- location, crash impact and injury information -- to law enforcement and emergency medical personnel who immediately respond with help.

EVENT
Mayo Clinic, Minnesota Department of Transportation, Minnesota State Patrol and Veridian Corporation invite you to a news conference and demonstration of Mayday Plus --- a futuristic automobile crash notification system that employs GPS, cellular communications and crash sensors. A Mayday Plus system operational test is currently underway in southeastern Minnesota involving more than 200 vehicles driven by volunteers from Mayday Plus developers and the public.
