AAPS Sponsors Second Frontier Symposium

The American Association of Pharmaceutical Scientists (AAPS) will sponsor the Second AAPS Frontier Symposium: "Membrane Transporters and Drug Therapy," April 8-10, 1999 at the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, MD. The Symposium will be co-sponsored by the National Institutes of General Medical Sciences (NIGMS), National Cancer Institute (NCI) and National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive Kidney Diseases, National Institutes of Health (NIDDK, NIH).

The goals of this event are to foster interaction among scientists with interests in structure, physiology, genetics/genomics, and pharmaceutical aspects of membrane transporters, and determine the role of transporters in drug discovery, development and therapy.
