Society Of Actuaries Meets In MauiSCHAUMBURG, Ill. -- The Grand Wailea Resort, Maui, will be the site of back-to-back meetings of the Society of Actuaries (SOA) featuring over 170 sessions on topics in life and health insurance and pensions. Financial reporting and product development topics will be the subjects of the June 15-17 meeting. Health and pension issues will be discussed at the June 22-24 meeting. President of the American Council of Life Insurance Carroll A. Campbell, Jr., will kick off the Financial Reporting and Product Development meeting with his keynote remarks at the 8:00 - 9:30 a.m. breakfast session on Monday, June 15. Campbell is a former United States Congressman and a two-term governor of South Carolina. Editor of the Journal of the American Medical Association, George D. Lundberg, M.D., addresses the Health and Pension meeting during its 8:00 - 9:30 a.m. breakfast session on Monday, June 22. Sessions and seminars will cover topics on computer science, health disability income, investments, reinsurance, education and research, and small insurance companies. Journalists are welcome at the breakfast keynote addresses and all sessions and can register on-site at no charge. Transcripts are available for most sessions.
