Long-Term Olive Oil Consumption And Coronary MortalityPeople who consume Mediterranean diets rich in olive oil have lower coronary mortality. Healthy men who used olive oil instead of saturated fats for eight weeks had increased triglyceride but lower LDL-cholesterol and clotting factor VII. The long-term significance in relation to decreased coronary mortality remains to be established. Corresponding Author: H. M. Roche, Dublin, Ireland (e-mail: [email protected])
