Major Physics Meeting In Columbus College Park, MD---11 March 1998---The American Physical Society (APS) and the American Association of Physics Teachers (AAPT) will hold their annual Joint April Meeting over a Friday-Tuesday period, April 17-21, 1998 at the Columbus Convention Center in Columbus, Ohio. Several important workshops, open to journalists, will be held on Friday, while the meeting proper begins on Saturday. This is one of the principal meetings of the year for APS and AAPT, which are the largest professional societies in the U.S. devoted to physics research and physics teaching, respectively.

APS NEWSROOM AND FURTHER INFORMATION
The meeting pressroom will be located in room B204 of the Convention Center while press conferences will be held in room B205. The hours will be as follows: 8 AM until 5 PM, Friday-Monday, April 17-20 and 8 AM to 12 noon on Tuesday, April 21. Reporters attending the meeting should first come to the newsroom, where they can obtain registration badges and various news releases. Several press conferences will be held during the meeting. ONLINE ABSTRACTS AND VIRTUAL PRESSROOM
