Papers Presented at the American Chemical Society National Meeting Will Address Changes in Industry for Both Employers and Employees.

How are changing corporate conditions affecting staffing, skills and training in the chemical industry? How will corporate mergers and restructuring affect the relationship between senior managers and mid-level employees? How broad should a researcher's knowledge base be to flourish in a changing and unpredictable work environment? These and other topics will be presented during a symposium entitled "Current Trends in Chemical Employment" at the national meeting in Boston of the American Chemical Society (ACS), the world's largest scientific society, on Tuesday afternoon, August 25.

Industry and government experts will focus on what companies and individuals can do to help ensure their value, and in turn, their growth in the workplace and the marketplace.
